Boiled Bittern Wild Duck
      Boiled Bittern Wild Duck is homebred wild ducks in Baiyangdian. The traditional secret recipe is adopted when boiling and salting, and the meat is fresh and tender, smooth but not oily because of being boiled in high temperature. For the wild ducks are fed with small fish and shrimp and float grass, they contain rich calcium, phosphorus, iron and many other kinds of microelements. There are health protection functions, such as, being good for eyes and heart, wiping off toxin and improving health.
 
     
 
 
 
River Crab
      River crab has a long-standing reputation for its large size, delicious flavor and high nutrition in Baiyangdian. The river crabs lay eggs in seawater and live in fresh water. They lay eggs in March and April, and come into fresh water in June and July, then the crabs are fattest in Aug. and Sep., so there is a saying of eating crab and enjoying the moon in the mid-autumn day. Now river crabs are artificial feeding in Baiyangdian to meet the needs of tourist.
 
     
 
 
 
Round Fish
      Round fish is an important product in Baiyangdian. Good conditions have been provided for round fish’s living and propagating here, for Baiyangdian has rich and fresh water, long time of shining and rich hydrobiontic alga. The round fish is fat and delicious with high value of nutrition in Baiyangdian, there are a lot of dishes with round fish as main ingredient, such as steamed round fish, stir-fried round fish, round fish soup and braised round fish, these dishes are very popular among tourists home and abroad.
 
     
 
 
 
Lotus Root
      There must have one cold dish no matter in friends gathering, festival menus or wedding banquet in Baiyangdian—cold lotus root. Lotus root has a long standing reputation for it is clean and beautiful, crisp and sweet without dregs. The lotus shows a big hole in the middle and six small holes around after being cut into pieces, and its color will not change in one day’s storage. The thread of lotus root is very long when it is broken off, then you will indeed have the feeling of “apparently severed, but actually connected”. Lotus root of Baiyangdian contains a large amount of amylum, so it is not only made to lotus root starch, also can be used into salad with other vegetables, and it is also a good dish when drinking.
 
     
 
 
 
Cleome
      Cleome can arouse people’s endless imagination with its simple but elegant name: pieces of silvery white flowers grow on the vast shallow lake, below them are a short section of ivory stem, below the short stem is another long section of green stem. It is a special product in Baiyangdian. It begins to grow after every midspring, and is famous for its fresh and tender. It has another kind of flavor when being used as salad after being taken out from boiling water.
